Hypnotherapy

 

The following Terms and Conditions apply to the provision of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy at Still Point Centre, and apply whether to face to face therapy at the hypnotherapy practice or during home visits, or Online Therapy.

By making a booking with Still Point Centre, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions as follows.

 

Definition of Terms.

 

Still Point Centre  herein referred to as ‘us’ ‘we’ ‘our’

The Client herein referred to as ‘you ‘your’

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy herein referred to as ‘hypnotherapy’ or ‘therapy’

Online therapy includes using any form of electronic or digital communication media and software application that is not face-to-face e.g. Zoom, FaceTime, WhatsApp, telephone, email and text etc.

Therapy Session refers to any session whether this be initial consultation, standard session or offered face to face or online.

 

  1. Hypnotherapy Sessions and Fees

1.1.  Each therapy session lasts approximately 50 minutes (unless otherwise specified) and current fees and offers are as detailed on the website multidimensionalshow.co.uk/welcome-to-the-still-point-centre/.  

1.2.  Fees are subject to change and will be reviewed each calendar year. Notice will be provided of any fee increase if you are in the process of a course of treatment.

1.3.  Each session is to be paid in advance in order to secure each booking.

1.4.  Payment is accepted by Cash, Bank Transfer or Card Payment.

1.5.  Invoices and receipts can be issued on request.

 

  1. Consent to Treatment

2.1. Ahead of the initial consultation we will request written consent (which may be captured electronically) for your agreement to proceed with Solution Focused Hypnotherapy.

2.2. Implied consent will be taken for each subsequent session on the basis of you choosing to book further sessions.

2.3. For treatment of minors, parental consent will be required.

 

  1. Cancellation Policy

3.1.  Cancellation and rescheduling of a therapy session requires at least 24 hours’ notice. 

3.2.  If less than 24 hours’ notice is provided, we reserve the right to retain the deposit paid.

3.3.  Any request for a refund for advance paid sessions cancelled prior to the agreed 24 hours will be made to your bank account within 5 working days of the date of the request.

3.4.  If an emergency requires us to cancel your session, we will endeavour to provide you as much notice as possible. If this notice is less than 24 hours you will be entitled to a full refund of any deposits paid if you prefer not to reschedule. This will be processed within the above timescale.

 

  1. Punctuality

4.1.  It is expected that you arrive on time for your session. If you anticipate running late for your session, please leave a message or send a text to 07914 770729. Whilst every effort will be made to accommodate lost time, this may not always be possible and therefore the session may have to finish at the originally scheduled finish time.

 

  1. Commitment, Standards of Behaviour and Code of Conduct

5.1.  We will treat you with respect and decency at all times. 

5.2.  You in turn agree to commit to engage with the process both during the session and afterwards with any tasks that may be assigned to you.

5.3.  You agree to respect the practice, which includes all employees, clients and any property.

5.4.  You agree not to attend sessions under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs.

5.5.  If your conduct contravenes these standards, then we reserve the right to terminate the session and/or refuse any future sessions. Any payment for sessions made in advance will be forfeited.

5.6. We reserve the right to refuse treatment where we believe hypnotherapy is not an appropriate therapeutic intervention.

 

  1. Contact

6.1. Unless prior agreement is made, it is expected that there will not be any contact outside of sessions unless in relation to appointment booking or general administration. 

6.2.  If it is necessary for us to contact you (e.g. in relation to appointments) this will be done via your preferred method or via the means of your original contact method with us.

6.3.  It is your responsibility to update us of any changes to your contact details. 

6.4.  If a telephone message is left for you, only the caller’s name and telephone number will be left, and no mention of hypnotherapy will be made.

 

  1. Confidentiality

7.1.  Any information that is collected from you as a potential client or client, including contact details is held in the strictest of confidence. 

7.2. Any information captured will be used solely for the purpose of providing therapy. We adhere to all relevant regulation in respect to the use and storage of your data further information of which can be found in our Privacy Policy.

7.3 Your Data will never be shared with external parties without your express permission, unless in the following exceptions where we have a legal and moral obligation to alert relevant authorities:

       7.3.1.    Where there is a good cause to believe that failure to disclose information may result in harm       to the client or another individual.

       7.3.2.    Where any child protection issues have been disclosed.

       7.3.3 . Where a court case or court order has demanded disclosure.

7.4. We will capture appropriate medical history in the initial consolation in order to understand whether your health is impacting or is impacted by the therapeutic goals you wish to achieve. This also allows us to establish whether there are any pre-existing medical conditions for which hypnotherapy is contra-indicated. We may, as a result of the medical information, wish to contact your GP (with your permission) prior to commencing any therapy. If this was required, we will only supply information that is relevant for the intended purpose. 

7.5.   In order to meet Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and governing body requirements, anonymous case histories are sometimes discussed with peer-support groups and supervisors. No personal details are ever shared. 

 

  1. Course of Therapy 

8.1.  The duration of therapy will be specific to the client, the goals that a client wishes to achieve and the client’s commitment and motivation. A ‘cure’ can therefore note be guaranteed, and it would not be ethical to make this claim. 

8.2. An indication of the number of sessions that may be required will be provided at the initial consultation, however this will be reviewed during your therapy and any changes to this will be discussed with you.

8.3.  Therapy duration and number of sessions estimates are based on treatment provided to  previous clients. However, as all clients and conditions are different these estimates serve as a guide only.

 

 

  1. Online Therapy

9.1. Where there are technological malfunctions, reconnections will be attempted during the allotted appointment time. In the event of a complete technological failure, the appointment will be rescheduled to a mutually agreeable time to complete the remaining time left in the session. 

9.2. Offline contact details can be used for the remaining treatment where it is reasonably possible and mutually agreed.

9.3. We will take separate consent for online treatment and will require a backup contact method.
